Brian McGee Band
The Brian McGee Band plays traditional and contemporary roots music influenced by, the tunes and stories that have come out of the soil of North Carolina, and by the urban beat of rock and roll. Brian McGee writes songs that have been dusted by the weird old american songbag. With the help of David Hughes(slide guitar & banjo), Darin Gentry(fiddle) and Mary Dellea(bass) the band has taken Brian's originals to a place somewhat familiar, but new and up to date. The band also plays fiddle tunes of NC & WV, piedmont blues, gospel, ballads, and waltzes.

Harry Hepcat

By 1955, Harry "got the rock & roll bug". His first guitar came in early 1956. By 1958, Harry Hepcat was already performing with bands and recording. Evolving with the music current in the 1960s, Harry always included fifties material in his act. In 1967, he decided to devote himself solely to fifties rock and roll. He's been recording and performing ever since.

Harry Hepcat performed for the original Broadway cast of "Grease". The fifties actors stated, "Hepcat's great! He's New York's best kept secret. We only act it; it's such a pleasure to hear the real thing".

Here then is the real thing, from fifties rock-a-billy classics to original Hepcat compositions like, "Sunrise Special", a tribute to the rise of Sun records and its artists.

Bill Nolan, Connecticut disc jockey and founder of the Rhythm and Blues/Rock & Roll Society, said it all, "Jerry Lee Lewis couldn't do "Great Balls of Fire" better than Harry Hepcat....Harry Hepcat isn't an imitator, he is an original rock and roller from the 1950s.

Mad Tea Party
Asheville’s innovative folk group the Mad Tea Party performs original songs as well as novelty jazz and old-time music from the ’20s and ’30s. In the course of a performance they will sing and play ukulele, banjo, guitar, mandolin, tenor banjo, fiddle, kazoo, slide whistle, horns, bells, whistles, and more! Their material ranges from silly to sincere. And their delivery is delightfully refreshing. As one reviewer put it, “Perhaps the most meaningful thing I can say about the show is this: It’s a rare night when I can walk out of a bar at 2 AM and feel a little more innocent than when I came in” (Steve Shanafelt, Mountain Xpress). They will make you laugh and make you think, and they will most certainly entertain you.

Soul Searchers

The Soul Searchers have been

singing as a group for about thirty years. Kathy Carter and Pat Bray are two of the original members. Billy and Jeanne Brooks have been members for about eighteen years. The group has ministered all over northern and central Arkansas, southern Missouri, and surrounding states at times. The group has always sung on a love-offering basis, doing many fundraisers for churches and worthy causes. The Soul Searchers are an evangelistic group, striving to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ everywhere they sing. They perform the latest in southern gospel, bluegrass, country gospel, traditional gospel, and contemporary gospel music as well as some of their own songs written primarily by Billy Brooks. Preaching and church services are an option, as well as a little humor in the program (a merry heart doeth good like a medicine, Proverbs, 17-22), Singing the gospel is neither a profession nor a job, but a Labor of Love for this group. Come be a part of the celebration of life with Jesus as presented by The Soul Searchers.
